Yale Political Scientist Questions His Entire Discipline

Ever wondered how wrong political science textbooks are? How their definitions are filled with indoctrination? A distinguished Yale political science professor reflects on how way off the political science discipline is in describing society.

Fire Safety Researchers at Victoria University Disagree with NIST’s WTC 7 Report

Researchers Ian Thomas and David Proe of Victoria University in Australia commented on NIST’s analysis of WTC 7. They conducted several standard fire tests on composite beams and found several major items in the analysis to be conflicting with their observations. They
disagree with NIST’s final report.

Dr. Peter Dale Scott: An Example of Intellectual Courage and Outstanding Scholarship

Dr. Peter Dale Scott charcoal portrait

Prof. Peter Dale Scott charcoal portrait

Dr. Peter Dale Scott’s work has a major effect on many seeking a honest and realistic model that describes politics and hidden politics. He is the son of a notable intellectual family. His father F.R. Scott was the McGill Dean of Law and mentor of Pierre Trudeau who would go on to become Canada’s Prime Minister. His mother, Marian Dale Scott was a Montreal painter. Peter Dale Scott was born on January 11, 1929. In Poland, during 1961, his work at the Canadian embassy involved reading cables from the International Control Commission policing the 1954 Geneva Accords dividing North and South Vietnam. He went on to teach at the University of California at Berkeley. He was an anti-war speaker during the Vietnam and U.S.-Iraq wars and he became the co-founder of the Peace and Conflict Studies Program at his university, and of the Coalition on Political Assassinations (COPA). He is currently Professor Emeritus of English.

Some of his well known books include The War Conspiracy (1972), The Iran-Contra Connection (in collaboration, 1987), Cocaine Politics: Drugs, Armies, and the CIA in Central America (in collaboration, 1991, 1998), Deep Politics and the Death of JFK (1993, 1996), and Deep Politics Two (from JFKLancer, 1995).

Amongst his recent works, The Road to 9/11  puts 9/11 in context as the accumulation of many trends occurring in the deep state without the public state knowing. On page 194 of this book in the chapter, “The 9/11 Commission Report and Vice President Cheney”, Scott states “This chapter and the next will explore these issues (unresolved contradictions and misrepresentations in the 9/11 commission report) and make the case that Vice President Cheney is himself a suspect in the events of 9/11 who needs to be investigated further.” This is a major statement but Dr. Scott is an outstanding scholar who is able to rigorously examine a subject and prove his point. His book was peer-reviewed and published by the University of California Press which is “one of the most distinguished university presses in the United States, enriches lives around the world by advancing scholarship in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.” This is not the first time Dr. Scott has published in the UC Press about the deep state.

It has taken hard work and time for many thoughtful people to realize the significance of Dr. Scott’s writings. His most recent work, American War Machine, which contains a chapter on 9/11 as an engineered deep event, received supportive reviews and endorsements from very thoughtful experts such as Roger Morris, a former National Security Council staffer, and Paul Almond, an Officer of the Order of Canada and member of the Royal Academy of Arts in Canada. The french version of his book was reviewed by five-star General (Ret.) Bernard Norlain who is the President of the Comité d’Études de la Défense Nationale and Director of the Revue Défense Nationale and was a military adviser to French Prime Ministers Jacques Chirac and Michel Rocard.

Today, January 11, 2012, marks his eighty-third birthday. We wish you well Dr. Scott and we thank you for everything you have given us to deepen our understanding about deep politics.

Overpressures inside the WTC during its Destruction

To elevate the degree of research surrounding 9/11, we need to quantify the overpressures in the core and the stairways with respect to time. Why? Think about how the quantitative efforts of Szamboti, MacQueen and others have advanced research to a higher degree on the topic of the missing jolt. Qualitative descriptions are great, but we need to seal the deal on this topic of ejections quantitatively as well.

AE now has a decent number of knowledgeable mechanical and structural engineers. To refute NIST’s hypothesis of “dust puffs”, we need experts in compressible fluid dynamics (or gas dynamics) that can determine for sure if NIST’s stand holds any weight. Gas dynamics is not an easy field and CFD (computational fluid dynamics) is often used to model complex phenomena and can yield accurate results if the boundary conditions are well defined. The WTC had about 99 elevators and 3 stairways, the core was about 28% of the cross-sectional area of the towers, and the towers were about 95% air. This is certainly difficult to model. However, a simplified approach favorable to NIST’s hypothesis can, in my estimation, still show them to be incorrect.

I’m in the process of writing a proposal that will test the piston hypothesis and will obtain an estimate from CFD consultants regarding the costs of modeling the WTC. Szamboti and MacQueen determined the descent to be at about 70% of the gravitational acceleration. We can use their work to model a piston compressing air with respect to time. Having a pressure-volume curve obeying Boyle’s law would be NIST’s dream come true but it’s far from reality given the observable disintegration of Bazant’s “upper rigid block”. So a model that is an open system (with holes or assumed vent ratios in the piston and some along the perimeter of the crush front) compressing air would be best to test and see if the pressure 30 floors below the crush front was significant at all. If the overpressures are less than the breaking pressure of windows, then there is a very strong case.

A second item NIST briefly mentioned in their FAQ is that such phenomena could be due to a collapsing floor at a lower level. I think the burden rests on them to show whether a floor failed far below the crush front. Regardless, they won’t engage in the topic any more. If we wish to advance this area, we’ll just have to model it.

Also, I remember MacQueen told me about the ejections piercing through the massive corner column (diagonally outwards). After some thought, a natural explanation for this is impossible.
